Also within 10 minutes proximity is access to the A, B, C, D, 4, 5, and 6 trains and the Harlem-125 St Metro North Station, which will take you to Grand Central in under 15 minutes! A 13-minute commute to Columbia University, the Lenox House is a perfect option for students, as CUNY School of Public Health, CUNY City College of New York, are also under a 20-minute commute.
The Neighborhood
Harlem is synonymous with the Harlem Renaissance, an artistic, literary, and cultural movement of African Americans that began in the 1920’s and has established Harlem as a capital of black culture throughout the world. The Lenox House is a 5-minute walk to Marcus Garvey Park, which has a public pool and concerts. It’s also a 20-minute walk to Central Park North or a 10-minute commute by train. French, West African, and Soul food options flourish, along with many cafes and bars.
