We have members coming from all over the world and many of them at the start didn’t know much about America, let alone the lively neighborhood of Bushwick! Let us help you with some of the basics, so you can start exploring the neighborhood almost immediately.

 

Subway/Travel

It's really up to you, but here are the main ways to get to Manhattan!
 

The M train - Knickerbocker Ave

M train is a 2-minute walk from the house. Just make a right when you exit the house, a left on Knickerbocker Avenue, and walk until you see the Knickerbocker Ave stop. You can’t miss it.

The L Train - Dekalb Ave

The L Train is about a 5-minute walk from the house. Make a left when you walk out of the house, and walk two blocks to Wyckoff Ave. Make another left on Wyckoff and walk to Stockholm Street. The stop is called Dekalb Ave.

Knickerbocker Bagel - 367 Knickerbocker Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237

We highly recommend this spot for a hearty breakfast. Knickerbocker Bagel offers a wide array of delicacies but the restaurant's specialty has got to be its bagels and cream cheese.

Craving a good, authentic French food and experience? Then head to Le Garage, a restaurant run by French mother and daughter duo.

Darlings is a cozy bar just near the house. You can come here to watch sports and drink some beers with your friends, or be entertained by local DJs at night.

This is a great spot for a casual night out with your friends. Be sure to check out the backyard which we must say, is pretty sweet.

One thing we love about this neighborhood is how it is surrounded by parks. If you ever need to wind down from a stressful day, a simple 20-30 minutes around the various parks here would definitely do the magic.

We absolutely love this park. It has corners for sports and benches where you can just sit, relax with a book, or enjoy the sights around you.
