#MemberMonday: Nícolas Raposo
Meet Nícolas from Brazil, the House Leader at our Central Park Manhattan House and a lover of all things philosophical and cultural.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m Nícolas and I’m from a small town in Brazil called Teresópolis. I like soccer, reading, museums and hiking and I am getting into rock climbing and learning about wine! I’m here in NYC to immerse myself in the English language and learn about educational opportunities outside of my home country.
What's your favorite Outpost memory?
It’s tough to choose just one Outpost memory as a favorite! I have had lovely times at parties in Bushwick, peaceful moments in the beautiful rooms in Manhattan and great nights out in the city with Outpost friends from multiple houses.
What’s your favorite part of New York?
My favorite part of New York (besides the people) is that I can find a place to cater to whatever mood I'm in, all in the same city. If I Google anything in the world, it has some representation right here in NYC. When I miss Brazilian food, I can find it in multiple boroughs.
What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on improving my English. I’m interested in philosophy and literature, so I’ve been reading about these things as well -- and I'm always busy with my House Leader work as well as exploring the city!
