Outpost Club Coliving is for everyone, and we have virtually every type of artist, designer, coder, writer, foodie, scholar, scientist, and creative. This week we're highlighting a truly special member from East Bushwick whose talents span several of those disciplines, Lee Schofield!

Tell us a little bit about yourself

I’m from Sydney, Australia, and back in Sydney I was working as an Insights & Analytics Manager for an Influencer Marketing company, but have a particular passion for innovation and human-centric research (user experience / customer experience).

I love photography and have a collection of about 12 cameras back in Oz, love everything to do with food and drinks (particularly wine!), so in my past time you’ll probably find me on a photo walk, hitting up some galleries or finding a new joint to eat at.

What brought you here?

I’ve been at Outpost for about 6 weeks, and decided to stay here because of a combination of convenience and to be surrounded by other interesting people transitioning into the city. I think it attracts a particular type of person - usually quite creative and nomadic types.

I didn’t know anyone in New York when I first arrived. It’s a city with so much opportunity, full of people pursuing their dreams, and I wanted to be amongst that. Outpost seemed like the perfect way to transition into it and meet like minded people.

What's one thing you're going to miss the most when you leave Outpost?

The people, of course. I’ve met some amazing people who will be friends for a long time to come.

Do you have a favorite spot in the city? or one place you want to explore more?

Don’t make me choose! I’ve been spending a lot of time exploring Brooklyn and I’ve only scratched the surface. I need to take more time to actually explore Manhattan!

Are there any ways that coliving has helped you accomplish more of what you want to do in the city? or helped you find new passions or interests?

Coliving has definitely helped me find people that have similar hobbies to me, so it’s meant I’ve had friends to bounce ideas off, and go out on photography walks and all that. It’s helped reignite a few old hobbies and interests too, like video.

Recently, Lee has been collaborating with others in the Outpost community to launch an innovative video series on LinkedIn! Check her introductory video below with fellow member Jay Flores!

Don't forget to add Lee on LinkedIn to see more of her videos, and check out her Instagram for more of her photography!
