For this week’s #MemberMonday, we’re introducing you to Juan Ordóñez, a content creator at the East Bushwick House. Juan has some exciting projects in the works and we can’t wait to see them unfold.

Tell us about yourself.

I’m a content creator, which means I basically create content like photos, videos and motion graphics for different social media brands. I post most of my work on Instagram (I’m @nukanchik -- it means “our people” in Quechua). I do have a website, but I find it useless nowadays since everyone is using social media sites to represent brands.

I was born here in Brooklyn but raised in Ecuador until I was 13. I lived for 3 years in Texas and when I was 16 I came to New York for vacation and ended up staying. I found so much culture that I could relate to and I didn’t feel like an outsider anymore. I love taking photos, making movies, writing, biking, drinking coffee and eating sushi.

What’s your favorite Outpost Club memory?

I would say my favorite Outpost Club memory would be the Halloween party that was held in our house this year; everyone from different houses came through and we were all having fun.

P.S., I love everything about the Outpost Club. It’s a dream house.

What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn?

I’m a fan of Greenpoint. It’s so chilled, laid back and colorful. There are some cool murals around and you can get the perfect view of the city -- and it’s right next to McCarren Park.

What are you working on right now?

I can’t really say much, but the company that I’m working with is The Soap Box. You can find them on Instagram: @tsbxco. Our media team is planning to launch something revolutionary that will change people’s lives, so keep an eye on it!
