#MemberMonday: Jess Roman

For the last #MemberMonday of August we're heading back to East Bushwick to chat with a relatively new member, Jess Roman! Jess is staying with us during her studies and has a lot to say about her experience so far.
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I love music, coffee, broadway musicals, movies and pizza! I am from Peru and I came here to study music composition.
What about what brought You to Outpost? How long have You been living with us?
When I was looking for a place to live, I found Outpost Club and so far I think that it has been one of the best decisions I ever made to come here.
It’s only 21 days since I moved here and many things have happened to me since I arrived, but what I find most striking about this experience is that I’ve been able to meet many people. All with different stories, different origins, different dreams, passions and aspirations. And I have learned from all of them.
That's the fascinating thing about coliving in NY. You realize that you are not alone in this and the mere fact of seeing others in the race to fulfill their dreams inspires you.
What's one thing you're going to miss the most when You leave Outpost?
Free coffee!!!
Just kidding. Apart from the free coffee, I am going to miss the events organized by the club. There is always something going on and every event is a good opportunity to make new friends.
You have a favorite spot in the city? Or one place You want to explore more?
That’s easy. (Broadway) Theatre District.
You can keep up with Jess by following her Instagram, and she's particularly open to chatting with Spanish speaking individuals who want to chat about their experiences or concerns.
And if you want to chat more with the rest of Outpost Club request to join our Facebook group, and don't forget to keep up with our blog!
