Member Monday: Susa Breese

Today is #MemberMonday, and this week we are featuring Susa Breese, our summer marketing intern and a member at the East Bushwick House. Read more about her take on New York and being a part of the Outpost Club.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Susa Breese. I am 19 years old, a marketing intern with Outpost Club and a journalism and design student at the New School. I was born and raised on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, but I fell in love, like many do, with New York City, and the love has only grown as I spend more and more of my time here.
I have always been very interested in expression, communication and the human condition. I spend my free time creating or consuming writing, art, music and films that help me to be a more understanding, considerate and self-aware person. Ultimately I want to be kind, untangle and heal with everything I say and do.
What's your favorite Outpost memory?
My favorite Outpost memory was moving in. I was greeted by all of my lovely housemates and instantly felt welcome and at home. It was wonderful to find a nice space to settle into in the city and simultaneously become a part of a lively, supportive community.
Working at Outpost has also been a treasure. Going out on adventures and soaking in the best the city has to offer in order to share it with others is so much fun. It is so rewarding for me to be able to capture so much life and beauty in my favorite city and to work for such a great, exciting company.
What’s your favorite part of New York?
My favorite part of New York is how there is so much life all condensed into one area. You can travel anywhere easily and see all walks of life cohabitating in such a rich, real environment. There are so many beautiful sights and so much to do and so many people to meet. You’d happen upon the most charming and thought-provoking things even if you took the same commute every day.
What are you working on right now?
Right now I am completing my summer marketing internship with Outpost Club and enjoying my time in New York by going to art festivals, concerts, movies, restaurants and exploring. In the fall I will return to school, and in the spring, I will be studying in Costa Rica as part of a global immersion program through my college.
