Meet Tacia Duarte, Our Community Manager And Your New Best Friend

Tacia Duarte loves anything and everything that shouts "Community!"
This is because the artistic Brazilian, like many of our members, had moved to the city all by herself, making her appreciate the perks of being a part of a community that she can also call her family.
And with her fun and outgoing personality, balanced with the right amount of responsibility, Tacia has made everyone around her feel right at home at the very first meeting itself.
So we don't really need to list the reasons she's our Community Manager, and the leader of Outpost's Knickerbocker House .
But what we will do, is help you get to know her a little better. After all, when you move into one of our houses, we're pretty sure she'll be your guide for everything cool New York has to offer, as well as the best friend to spend your nights out with!
What brought you to New York?
So, I'm a fine artist. I create designer toys, caricatures and miniatures. I came to New York to pursue my passion, to experience the huge artistic community here.
How did you become a member of the Outpost team?
I have been a member of Outpost Club since late July last year. Right from the beginning I was always very involved with the team and with the staff, as I wanted to be a part of what they are creating here.
Because of my interest in helping the Outpost team build on this community, I became Knickerbocker's house leader in October. Then they invited me to be a community manager, to help take care of the other houses.
What is your role?
As the community manager, my job is to make sure every member has a great experience while they're staying at the Outpost Club. So I go to all the houses and meet with the members. I also plan events to help bring the members together!
What is your favorite Outpost moment?
Recently I threw a Valentine's Day party at the Knickerbocker House. That was a lot of fun! We had people from the other houses coming over; we prepared dinner, we had fondue and chocolate fountain, which was really cool. Afterwards we all went to watch a comedy show in UCB theatre.
Well, that's all we have for now. If you want to know more about Tacia, check out the video below. You can also follow her and Outpost Club on social media to see all the fun she's been having with us!
