Coliving is unique to other forms of accommodation in the sense that it offers a stimulating environment for interaction among members. It often houses more people than the average flats as well. From our experience being in the business, this is where mobile applications play a big role. It helps ensure the highest level of enjoyment among members, and facilitate communication amongst them. Here are some applications that we, at Outpost Club use in day-to-day basis and hence, are able to vouch for their advantages.

What to do in a new city?

Eventbrite

Eventbrite is a great platform to find out the events that are taking place around the city. You can also create and share your own activities. From music festivals, networking events, to parties, just to name a few, this app has it all.

BandsInTown

BandsInTown is a "platform where artists and fans connect". It even notifies users of the tours and bands that are playing in their area. In 2014, the app was listed as one of Business Insider's world's greatest apps.

Fever

Fever lists everything you can do to have a great time in the city. This includes, but is not limited to concerts, exhibitions, comedy shows and deals at restaurants. It allows you to choose three types of activities you're interested in, and provides a list that caters to those interests.

Meetup

Meetup is a platform where you can meet people and be part of a community in a less formal setting. You can pick activities of your interest and see all connected events going around the city. This app is a favorite among our members who are new to city.

Work Space

Spacious

Spacious partners with the best restaurants in the city. At just $129 per month, members get to co-work at beautiful spaces where they can network, relax, and connect with each other. Members also have access to high speed wi-fi and outlets, unlimited coffee and tea, as well as dinner.

Breather

If you're here for business, Breather is the right place for you and your team to work. It provides you with a private space without the distractions that often come with working in a co-working spots. Breather also supplies all the things you need to ensure maximum productivity, including whiteboards and high speed wi-fi.

Finance

Splitwise

This app is perfect among friends and roommates, providing a cost-splitter. What's great is that groups can split big items, record payments, and do interpersonal bill splitting within a group. Splitwise takes all previous bills into account, allows you to "settle up" with anyone in the group.

Venmo

If you are looking to make cash payments immediately to friends, the most popular tool is Venmo. Link this app to your bank account and you can pay anyone at any time.

Communication

Facebook Messenger

Probably the most useful app for communicating between members. What's great about the messenger is that almost everyone has a facebook, no need to download a new app for newcomers. You can send all important updates through here, members use it to meet up all over the city, and we can plan events directly in the application.

Slack

Also a great method of communication, and is a little less persistent than facebook messenger. You can create different subjects within groups for the sake of holding different conversations at the same time.

WhatsApp

We like WhatsApp for communicating with our Alumni. It something that many of our members use, and is a great way to have big groups stay in touch

Travel

Car2Go

Car2go is a carsharing app that allows you to rent a car whenever you need it. The renting process is hassle-free, as everything you need to rent one is just right there at the tip of your finger. It costs less than $0.50 per minute and you don't even have to worry about parking charges, fuel, or signing up for insurance

Reach Now

Dreaming of driving luxurious BMWs and MINIs? ReachNow allows you to do this at flat rates and competitive per day pricing. Users can pick-up any available car at the location of their choice, and drop it off at select areas.

City Mapper

City Mapper makes traveling via public transport much easier. The app helps guide you to your destination, by informing you of which subway and bus to get on. It also provides the timing of the public transport you need to take on, and the costs of taking them.

Food

Seamless

Seamless is the most popular way to order food online. It partners with thousands of eateries. All you have to do is choose a restaurant and place your order and voila, you're all set to either pick up, or have the food delivered to your doorstep.

Sun Basket

With this app, you get to have the freshest organic ingredients delivered directly to you. You can also subscribe to recipes for healthy meals that only take under 30 minutes to prepare.
