A 2016 survey by the American Osteopathic Association found that 72% of more than 2000 Americans polled reported having felt a sense of loneliness. 31% of them experienced loneliness at the very least, once a week.

It doesn't help that making friends is especially challenging in a big city like New York, where everyone is always rushing somewhere trying to make ends meet.

Then there are those with countless of friends, yet find it difficult to meet people with similar interests.

Most of our members fall in either one of these categories, having moved to NYC with nothing but their suitcases.

That's why this week we have chosen DownToDash as our recommended app for co-living.

DownToDash is a mobile app that connects people based on the activities they are interested in, like workouts, sports, food and travel, among many other things.

Now it is helping Outpost Club attract more people to our community, and connecting our members to each other.

Through this app, users can create a specific plan. For example, a game of basketball on Sunday, at 10am. Other users who are interested to participate in this activity will then opt to join.

The app also allows users to discover events, classes and activities that are going on around them.

While finding people of mutual interests is quite easy in a coliving setup that Outpost provides, having DownToDash at your fingertips can make your community activities even more interesting. The more the merrier, right?

So be sure to give this app a go, and let us know what you think of it!
