The Bushwick House and East Bushwick House Neighborhood Guide
If you’re new to the area, we understand how tough that can be. We have members coming from all over the world and many of them at the start didn’t know much about America, let alone Bushwick! Let us help you with some of the basics, so you can start exploring the neighborhood almost immediately. This guide applies to both the Bushwick and East Bushwick Houses, which are located just about 7 minutes away from each other.
Subway/Travel
It's really up to you, but here are the main ways to get to Manhattan!
The J, M, Z train – Halsey Street
The J, M and Z lines stop at Halsey Street, just 10 minutes’ walk from the Bushwick House, and 15 minutes from the East Bushwick House. The M train, however, will no longer stop here by April 2018.

The L train – Wilson Avenue
There is also the Wilson Avenue stop on the L train that is about 10- minute walk from the Bushwick House, and 5 minutes from the East Bushwick House.

The L train – Halsey St
The Halsey Street stop on the L train is roughly the same distance: 15 minutes’ walk from the Bushwick House and 6 minutes from the East Bushwick House.
