NYC is one of the largest cities in the world, with an estimated 8.6 million population size. With it being the headquarters of every major company, it comes to no surprise that almost everyone with a global-sized dream has, or plans to move to the Big Apple at some point in their life.

But moving here is not as easy as packing your bags and checking into the first hotel you come across. First of all, hotels are ridiculously expensive, and so are other types of accommodation. Even if you are lucky enough to find one that is affordable, chances are you will end up in a shoe-box sized apartment.

It is also easy to feel lonely and lost in a city this size, where everyone is too busy chasing after their own American dream to just stop and say hello to a stranger they meet on the bustling streets of NYC.

This brings us to the number one reason why you should opt for co-living.

 

1. COMMUNITY

Co-living, as you will discover when you come and live with us in Outpost Club, provides you with the most important element when moving to a new city: community. The second you check into our co-living space, you will get to meet people from all sorts of backgrounds. Some of them may even have a story similar to yours.

To make the assimilation process even easier, we at Outpost Club regularly organize events that get residents from all of our six houses together. Our members are also encouraged to host their own get-togethers, like potluck dinners and game nights. Recently one house even threw an “Ugly Sweater Party”. Can you imagine a better way to break the ice with your new Housemates?

Basically, with co-living you’ll end up with friends who you can spend your nights in with. And you'll always have someone to do something with on the weekends.

 

2. JUST BRING YOUR SUITCASE

Remember when we said that moving to New York can be challenging? Well, we aim to make this process as convenient as possible for you. As a start, you can move in with us whenever you want to! And all you need is just your suitcase. We take care of the rest. Towels? Comfortable beds and sheets? Shampoos and body gel? Pots and pans? We got them all sorted for you.

You also won’t have to worry about the nitty-gritty of maintaining an apartment. If any of the appliances are not working, you just have to let us know and we’ll take care of it. To top it off, we have professional cleaners coming over twice a week to clean the spaces.. including your room!

 

3. FREE COFFEE!

This one deserves the exclamation mark and a stand-alone mention, as we all know there isn'ta problem that can't be solved with a cup of coffee. To help you kick-start your day - or night if you're the "burn the midnight oil" type of person - we supply good quality coffee powder so you can have your dose of caffeine anytime you need it.

 

4. SHARED SPACE = MORE SPACE

Almost everything in NYC is expensive. While it might be alright to skim on certain luxuries like entertainment and shopping, you shouldn't have to compromise on your resting space when you just want to sit back and relax.

From a fully furnished bedroom with not just a bed, but also shelves, cabinet spaces and reading lights, to a common living room complete with a 55-inch TV, big couches, and a co-working space (just to name a few); we provide them all for your comfort. Also, as you are paying for membership instead of just rent, you can move around our six different houses if you wish to.

 

5. SAFETY

At Outpost Club you never have to worry about your safety, or even of your belongings. Our common spaces have CCTV cameras, our houses all have code-access front doors, on site house leaders, and august home security locks!

 

6. NO KEYS, NO WORRIES

We have replaced the traditional key system with automated locks that are either password or phone-operated. This means you don't have to worry about taking your keys (or forgetting them) with you everytime you leave the house.

 

7. MOBILITY

Right now we have spaces in six locations all over Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn and Ridgewood Queens. All our houses are close to the subway, local stores, as well as restaurants and bars. We know such places, especially ones that are reasonably priced, are not easy to find. So we found them for you. You're welcome :)
